I feel a little for Richard, meeting your significant other friends is hard enough with your significant other actually there, I can’t imagine being afraid they will be late. Also, he tried…I would have gone meet him for the food alone.
I’m sure Adena’s meeting with them will go better.
This is another small exchange that tells us Kat has avoided talking about Adena to her friends and that she certainly has tried to swept most of it under the rug, pretend it wasn’t a big deal and that she is fine just being friends. Obviously Jane doesn’t believe her.
Something that I appreciate about this storyline is that Kat is trying to imitate Jacqueline’s nurturing style. Jacqueline knows how and when to be tough if she needs to, but she also is open to listen to her employees, support them and help them. Kat still has to find that balance but is nice to see how good leadership trickles down and influences corporate climate.
We assume Kat hates that conversation because, as he has said several times, she prefers to keep things casual. I’m assuming is the other part the one that brings up the topic and Kat is forced to tell them how she doesn’t want anything serious. As we know any rules Kat had regarding relationships are out of the window when it comes to Adena, and It kind of hope we get to see that conversation for them.
It may be not necessary, their actions are enough to show they both are committed to their relationship without having to sit down and talk about it. But how amazing it would be to have Kat be on the other side of this, after being always afraid this conversation will come up because she doesn’t want a relationship to be the one that wants to make things official and not knowing how to bring the topic up. I can see Adena not thinking twice about it, because she already knows how committed they both are and things it was implicit that they were trying to have a committed relationship.
I want to see Kat freak out with Sutton and Jane about it and if she should talk about it or not, and finally have Adena reassure her about the nature of their relationship.
Ok, ready to start this week’s Liveblog with episode 6 and possibly episode 7. Good, I’ve missed our girls. There’s really little of Adena on this two episodes so this will probably be a light Liveblog, with less posts but we will try to find as much Kadena as we can!
